Azadari
Kesar Baug Hall which subsequently built on that parcel of land remains one of the main places where Azadari majlis, mataam, juloos and other religious activities happen every year.
Programs
Over a period of time the hall has also been used for holding various programs of religious, education and social nature.
Marriages
The Hall is also used for community marriages which generate income for the Trust to manage the property and use the surplus funds towards it objectives.
What we do?
The Main Objective of the Kesar Baug Trust to this day remains the propagation of Azadari Imam Hussain (as) and religion of Islam as taught by the 14 Infalliables (as).
Since last 4 decades the Kesar Baug Trust has been supporting Shia students for higher education through grants and loans and also supports other relief work.
Organizing & Promoting Religious Activities
We promote and support the organizing of various religious programs and activities during the year which includes Majlis, Juloos, Matam and other Azadari activities during muharram and shahadat dates and Jashn programs to celebrate auspicious days. We also support various Islamic lectures and seminars etc organized by other organizations.
Higher Education Scholarship
Kesar Baug Trust has been providing scholarships to community students for pursuing their higher education (college, diploma or other professional course). It has supported thousands of community students over the last 4 decades, with their education fees.
Medical Aid
Kesar Baug Trust has also provided support to people from our community who are not covered by any kind of medical insurance, with part of their emergency medical expenses.
Relief for the poor
Kesar Baug Trust has also supported various programs for relief for the poor sections of the community. In recent times (especially during the Covid period and its difficult aftermath), the Trust supported various programs to provide relief to affected families, including providing temporary ration, medical and rent support to affected families.
Higher Education support
Through its Higher Education Support program, the Kesar Baug Trust has provided opportunities to thousand of students to complete their higher education. Trust has two main objectives of the Higher Education support programs.

About
Kesar Baug Trust
Kesar Baug Trust was established on 15th January 1934, by a lady named Kesar bai. She was the widow of Rajan Jooma bhai.
Kesar Bai purchased a plot of Land in Dongri, Mumbai with the intention of using the land for community azadari and religious programs. Dongri in those days was the epi centre of Shia community religious and social activities.
